Dr. Eric Jensen is a former secondary teacher with a specialty in the applied cognitive science of learning. His M.A. is in Organizational Development and Ph.D. is in Human Development.
His path in education began with embracing accelerated learning principles. Jensen cofounded the first and largest brain-compatible residential enrichment program, now with more than 80,000 graduates, held in 14 countries. He has trained educators and trainers worldwide in this field for over 25 years.
Next, he explored the application of neuroscience in education. Jensen is currently a member of the invitation-only Society for Neuroscience, the largest of its kind in the world. He has co-produced 19 international mind-brain conferences which introduced educators to cutting-edge neuroscience. He has written Teaching with the Brain in Mind, Brain-Based Learning, Teaching with Poverty in Mind, and 29 other books on learning and the brain.
Jensen has taught for three universities and worked with over 500 schools. He is deeply committed to making a positive, lasting difference in the way we learn. Jensen is currently exploring the paths to expedite change in both educators and schools.
