Albert is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and holds a Ph.D. in the Biotechnology of Reproduction from the Veterinary School of Aristotle University. In January 2022, he was named the 2022 Genesis Prize Laureate in recognition of his leadership during the pandemic. In 2021, he was named CEO of the Year by CNN Business, included in Insider Magazine’s Most Transformative CEOs list, and inducted into the Crain’s New York Business 2021 Hall of Fame. That same year, he received the Appeal of Conscience Award in recognition of his extraordinary leadership in service of the global community and The Atlantic Council’s Distinguished Business Leadership Award for his and Pfizer’s work on the COVID-19 vaccine. James R. Downing, M.D., is president and chief executive officer of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As the architect of a new six-year strategic plan, he is leading the expansion of St. Jude clinical care and research programs in Memphis and around the globe.

A renowned leader in pediatric cancer research, Dr. Downing focuses his work on understanding the genetic basis of cancer and using that information to improve the treatment of children with cancer. He was instrumental in launching the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project (PCGP), which has sequenced the normal and cancer genomes of more than 800 young cancer patients with some of the least understood and most aggressive tumors.

Dr. Downing joined St. Jude in 1986. Prior to taking the helm of St. Jude, Dr. Downing served as the institution’s scientific and deputy director and as an executive vice president in the organization.

He has received numerous honors, including the Association for Molecular Pathology Award for Excellence in Molecular Diagnostics, which recognizes lifetime, pioneering achievement, particularly regarding molecular diagnostics and molecular medicine. Mike Duke served as the CEO of Walmart, the world’s largest retailer and the biggest private employer, from 2009–2014. He was the fourth CEO since the company became publicly traded in 1970. Aicha S. Evans is CEO of self-driving car company Zoox.

Evans was formerly senior vice president and chief strategy officer at Intel Corporation. She was responsible for driving Intel’s long-term strategy to transform from a PC-centric company to a data-centric company, as well as leading rapid decision making and company-wide execution of the strategy.

Previously Evans was general manager of the Communication and Devices Group, responsible for driving wireless engineering for multi-comm products and Intel platforms, including modems, RF, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, LTE, WLAN/WWAN as well as emerging wireless technologies such as 5G.

Evans joined Intel in 2006 as a software integration and test manager. She held a number of management positions responsible for Intel’s wireless efforts including software engineering and support for customers deploying WiMAX networks in multiple geographies. Additionally, she worked in Israel managing WiFi engineering and product lines. Prior to Intel, Evans spent 10 years in various engineering management positions at Rockwell Semiconductors, Conexant and Skyworks.

She was appointed to the Anita Borg Institute board of trustees in 2016 and to the supervisory board of SAP in 2017.

Evans holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from The George Washington University.

Pau Gasol is an advisor, an investor and an activist in projects related to sports and well-being. He played professional basketball for 20 years in the NBA, on the Spanish National Team and in Spain’s ACB league. He is president of the Gasol Foundation, a member of the International Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission, and a UNICEF Global Champion for Nutrition and Zero Childhood Obesity.

Pau Gasol began his professional basketball career at FC Barcelona. In those early years the team won the ACB league championship twice (1999-2000 and 2000-2001 seasons) and won Spain’s Copa del Rey de Baloncesto once (2000-2001).

When he returned to the club 20 years later (in 2021), at the request of coach Saras Jasikevicius, the team finished second in the EuroLeague. Later that year, he announced his retirement from professional basketball.

In 2001, Pau was selected in the third round of the NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks, who then transferred those rights to the Memphis Grizzlies. Pau became only the second Spanish player to reach the NBA. During his first season with the Grizzlies, he earned the Rookie of the Year award, becoming the first non-US player to receive this distinction.

In 2006, Pau was the first Spanish player to take part in an NBA All-Star Game, in Houston, marking the first of his six appearances in this unique event. After moving to the L.A. Lakers in February of 2008, Pau won two NBA championships, one in 2009 and one in 2010.

Fred Hassan is a business executive who works for Warburg Pincus and was CEO of three global pharmaceutical companies. Hassan has played varying roles at Warburg Pincus, including as a Partner and Managing Director. He served as chairman of Bausch and Lomb until its sale to Valeant in August 2013. Hassan served as board member of Time Warner from 2009 until its sale to AT&T in June 2018. As of June 2019, he was a board member of Amgen(AMGN) (biotech), Intrexon(XON) now Precigen(PGEN)(synthetic biology), Modernizing Medicine (Electronic Medical Records), and as of August 31, 2021, was also board member of BridgeBio, Prometheus Biosciences, and chairman of Theramex (a global women’s health company, headquartered in London, UK).

One of the most highly respected experts in the field of contemporary leadership development, Frances Hesselbein is the President and CEO of The Frances Hesselbein Leadership Institute, founded as The Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management and renamed in 2012 to honor Hesselbein’s legacy and ongoing contributions. Mrs. Hesselbein was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States of America’s highest civilian honor, by President Clinton in 1998 for her leadership as CEO of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. from 1976–1990, as well as her service as “a pioneer for women, volunteerism, diversity and opportunity.” Her contributions were also recognized by the first President Bush, who appointed her to two Presidential Commissions on National and Community Service.

Mrs. Hesselbein is the recipient of twenty-two honorary doctoral degrees. She is editor-in-chief of the award-winning quarterly journal Leader to Leader and is the coeditor of twenty-seven books in twenty- nine languages. Sarah Hirshland began her term as chief executive officer of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee in August 2018. As CEO, Hirshland oversees the USOPC in its stewardship as both the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee for the United States, while leading the organization in delivering on its mission to empower Team USA athletes to achieve competitive excellence and inspire Americans.

Since joining the USOPC, Hirshland has overseen the most significant governance reform in two decades, codifying the organization’s commitment to holistic athlete wellness – including athlete safety and expansion of medical and mental health offerings – while increasing athlete representation and opportunities across the Olympic and Paralympic movements.

In addition, the USOPC has improved National Governing Body alignment on high-performance programming and athlete safety standards, while taking steps to mandate parity and raise awareness for Paralympic athletes and competition. This includes formally changing the organization’s name in 2019 to be inclusive of Paralympic.

She also serves as a member of the IOC Olympic Programme Commission and president of the Panam Sports Marketing and TV Commission.

Prior to her role at the USOPC, she served as the chief commercial officer for the United States Golf Association after working as the senior managing director for business affairs for USGA. Hirshland was responsible for the company’s global media and content distribution, corporate partnerships, merchandise and licensing, marketing, communications, community outreach and Golfer Handicap Information Network. Among her accomplishments at the USGA, she established a centralized marketing function, transformed relationships and service offerings with the Allied Golf Associations, oversaw media rights negotiations, secured and managed global partnerships and guided the transformation of tournament management software services.

Prior to joining the USGA in 2011, she was senior vice president for strategic business development at Wasserman Media Group (now Wasserman). She also previously worked in Wasserman’s consulting division, leading the development of sports marketing strategies for clients such as American Express, Nationwide, Nokia, Scotts and Wachovia. In addition, Hirshland has served in key executive positions with sports and entertainment firm OnSport, and sports news and technology company Total Sports.

Hirshland is a graduate of Duke University. She and her husband reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and have three adult children.

Jim Yong Kim, M.D., Ph.D., was the 12th President of the World Bank Group. Prior to being named World Bank Group President, Kim’s career revolved around health, education, and improving the lives of the poor. A physician and anthropologist, Kim previously served as the President of Dartmouth College and held professorships at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health. From 2003 to 2005, as director of the World Health Organization’s HIV/AIDS department, he led the “3 by 5” initiative, the first-ever global goal for AIDS treatment, which helped to expand access to antiretroviral medication in developing countries. In 1987, Kim co-founded Partners In Health, a non-profit medical organization that now works in poor communities on four continents.

Jim Kim became World Bank Group President in July 2012. Soon after he assumed the position, the organization established two goals to guide its work: to end extreme poverty by 2030; and to boost shared prosperity, focusing on the bottom 40% of the population in developing countries. In September 2016, the World Bank Group Board unanimously reappointed Kim to a second five-year term as President.

Harry M. Jansen Kraemer, Jr. is an executive partner with Madison Dearborn Partners, a private equity firm based in Chicago, Illinois and a Clinical Professor of Management and Strategy at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

He was named the 2008 Kellogg School Professor of the Year. Harry is the author of two bestselling leadership books: “From Values to Action: The Four Principles of Values-Based Leadership” and “Becoming The Best: Build a World-Class Organization Through Values-Based Leadership”.
He is the former chairman and chief executive officer of Baxter International Inc., a $12 billion global healthcare company. He became Baxter’s chief executive officer in January 1999, and assumed the additional responsibility of chairman of Baxter’s board of directors in January 2000.

Before joining Baxter, Mr. Kraemer worked for Bank of America in corporate banking and for Northwest Industries in planning and business development.

Hubert Joly is a senior lecturer at the Harvard Business School and the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Best Buy.

Curtis James Martin, Jr. (born May 1, 1973) is a retired American football running back who played for the New England Patriots and the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL) during the course of a ten-year career. Martin started his professional football career with the New England Patriots, who drafted him in the third round of the 1995 National Football League Draft.

In 1998, he signed with the New York Jets as a free agent, and he played there until 2005, when he suffered a career-ending knee injury that ended his playing career. He retired with the fourth-highest amount of running yards in the history of the National Football League. In 2012, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a defensive back.

Anthony W. Marx is President of The New York Public Library, the nation’s largest library system, with 88 neighborhood libraries and four scholarly research centers. Since joining NYPL in 2011, Marx has strengthened the Library’s role as an essential provider of educational resources and opportunities for all ages. Under his leadership, the Library has created new early literacy and after-school programs for children and teens, dramatically increased free English language classes and citizenship support for immigrants, and improved services for scholars and students who rely on the Library’s world-renowned research collections. Under Marx, the Library has also become a national leader on bridging the digital divide through its efforts to increase access to e-books, expand computer classes and coding training, and a groundbreaking program that provides home internet access to families of low-income students. Marx has a BA from Yale, an MPA from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, and a PhD, also from Princeton.

Gail Miller is the owner and immediate past chair of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, which began with a single Toyota store in Salt Lake City, Utah, and has grown to over 80 businesses with more than 60 dealerships in seven western states.

Gail works hard at enriching lives and giving back to the communities in which the Larry H. Miller Group conducts business. In 2012, Gail married Kim Wilson. Kim is an emeritus attorney with Snow, Christensen & Martineau, one of Utah’s traditional law firms, organized in 1886, where he practiced law for 46 years. He is co-founder and chair of the Ensign Peak Foundation, formerly the Mormon Historic Sites Foundation. He is also a member of the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera Board of Trustees, the Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees, the Clark Planetarium Advisory Board, and the Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo Executive Committee, and he is involved in a number of other civic causes and endeavors. Kim earned both his bachelor’s degree in political science and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah.

Alan Mulally served as president and chief executive officer of The Ford Motor Company and as a member of Ford’s board of directors from September 2006 – June 2014.

Mulally led Ford’s transformation into one of the world’s leading automobile companies and the #1 automobile brand in the United States. He guided Ford in working together on a compelling vision, comprehensive strategy and implementation of the One Ford plan to deliver profitable growth for all of the company’s stakeholders.

Prior to joining Ford, Mulally served as executive vice president of the Boeing Company, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, and president of Boeing information, Space and Defense Systems.

Deanna M. Mulligan is the Board Chair of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian). Ms. Mulligan was named Chief Executive Officer of Guardian in July 2011 and served in the role until October 2020.

Dr. John H. Noseworthy is president and chief executive officer of Mayo Clinic, a
not-for-profit organization operating in five states that is dedicated to medical care, research and education. Every year, more than a million people from all 50 states and nearly 150 countries come to Mayo Clinic for care.

During his tenure as CEO, Dr. Noseworthy and his leadership team have implemented a plan to ensure that Mayo Clinic remains a trusted resource for patients amid a rapidly changing health care environment – extending Mayo’s mission to new populations, providing care through more efficient delivery models, and increasing the personalization and immediacy of health care for all people. Examples of new initiatives include a proton beam cancer therapy program with two treatment centers – one in Phoenix and one in Rochester, Minn. – and development of a Mayo Clinic-affiliate network of high-quality medical practices throughout the country.

Dr. Noseworthy is a professor in the Department of Neurology. He specialized in multiple sclerosis and spent more than two decades designing and conducting controlled clinical trials with generous support from the Medical Research Council of Canada, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (USA) and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Noseworthy also is the author of more than 150 research papers, chapters, editorials and several books, including the three-volume textbook Neurological Therapeutics: Principles and Practice now in its second edition. He also served as editor-in-chief for Neurology, the official journal of the American Academy of Neurology.

Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao is a mechanical engineer, billionaire industrialist, and the founder chairman of GMR Group, a global infrastructure developer and operator based in India. Started in 1978, GMR Group is now present in 7 countries, active in energy, highways, large urban development and airports sectors, known for building and operating world class national assets.

G M Rao was born on 14 July 1950, in Rajam, Srikakulam district in Andhra pradesh, India. He was born in an upper-middle-class family whose main business interests involved commodities trading and a small scale jewelry business started by his father in Rajam. After graduating from Andhra University, Rao joined the Andhra Pradesh Government as a junior engineer.

He soon entered the trading of commodities as his entrepreneurial nature made it difficult for him to stay content with a mere day job. After developing good relations with suppliers and customers in the business of commodities trading, he acquired a failing jute mill at a bargain, this venture proved to be lucrative and allowed GM Rao is use leverage from local banks to acquire other assets. Eventually GM Rao divested his stake in a multitude of industries and started a bank named Vysya Bank in collaboration with ING.

Rao eventually diluted his stake in ING Vysya by selling his stake in whole for 340 crores. The cash from the bank stake sale allowed his entry into the power business allowed Rao to build what would become India leading infrastructure asset developer, as GMR’s most relevant competitor, GVK, is 6 times smaller by market capitalization, making GMR Group the leader in India as an airport developer by revenues, asset size, and market capitalization.

Garry O. Ridge serves as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He joined WD-40 Company in 1987 as managing director, WD-40 Company (Australia) Pty. Limited and he was responsible for Company operations throughout the Pacific and Asia. Mr. Ridge transferred to the corporate office in 1994 as director international operations and was elected vice president – international in 1995. He was elected to the position of executive vice president/chief operating officer in 1996. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 1997 and served as president and CEO from 1997 through June 2019. Prior to joining WD-40 Company Mr. Ridge was managing director of Mermax Pacific Pty. Ltd. and held a number of senior management positions with Hawker Pacific Pty. Ltd. (a Hawker Siddeley PLC Group Company) which was a licensee for WD-40® products until 1988. As the CEO of the Company, Mr. Ridge offers the Board an important Company-based perspective. In addition, his particular knowledge of the Company’s international markets and industry position provides the Board with valuable insight.

Dr. Shah serves as President of the Rockefeller Foundation, a global institution with a mission to promote the well-being of humanity around the world.  The Foundation applies data, science, and innovation to improve health for women and children, create nutritious and sustainable food systems, end energy poverty for more than a billion people worldwide, and enable meaningful economic mobility in the United States and around the world.

In 2009, he was appointed USAID Administrator by President Obama and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Dr. Shah reshaped the $20 billion agency’s operations in more than 70 countries around the world by elevating the role of innovation, creating high-impact public-private partnerships, and focusing US investments to deliver stronger results.  Shah secured bipartisan support that included the passage of two significant laws – the Global Food Security Act and the Electrify Africa Act.  He led the U.S. response to the Haiti earthquake and the West African Ebola pandemic, served on the National Security Council, and elevated the role of development as part of our nation’s foreign policy. Prior to his appointment at USAID, Shah served as Chief Scientist and Undersecretary for Research, Education, and Economics at the United States Department of Agriculture where he created the National Institute for Food and Agriculture.

Shah founded Latitude Capital, a private equity firm focused on power and infrastructure projects in Africa and Asia and served as a Distinguished Fellow in Residence at Georgetown University.  Previously, he served at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he created the International Financing Facility for Immunization which helped reshape the global vaccine industry and save millions of lives.

Jeffrey T. Slovin is the President and CEO and a member of the board of directors of Minitab,LLC, a market leader in data analysis, predictive analytics, and process improvement. Mr. Slovin is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Black Briar Capital, a private investment firm, and a member of the board of directors of SPEAR Education, the market leader in clinical and dental education and practice growth technology solutions. Prior to joining Minitab, Mr. Slovin delivered a 200x stock price appreciation over two decades of leadership as the CEO of three publicly traded companies. Mr. Slovin held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Dentsply Sirona, Inc. (NASDAQ: XRAY) and was a member of the board of directors, the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies.

Prior to that, Mr. Slovin served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sirona Dental Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIRO) and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Schick Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCHK). Mr. Slovin began his career at Bear Stearns in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, then went on to serve in various executive capacities,including Managing Director at Greystone & Co., Inc.

Mr. Slovin’s expertise in multiple disciplines—coupled with his unique ability to foster a strong corporate culture while developing talent—has enabled him to build and grow winning organizations. He’s successfully led organizations throughout different parts of their life cycle,which includes bringing new products to market, building iconic brands, through international expansion and turnaround situations. Mr. Slovin has created shareholder value in multiple ways by driving above market growth, consolidating fragmented industries through mergers and acquisitions, and providing successful exits for both private and public shareholders.

Elizabeth (Liz) Smith is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Bloomin’ Brands.

As CEO, she is responsible for developing and executing the company’s long-term objectives, growth strategies and initiatives for its portfolio of casual and fine-dining brands, which include Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.

Since joining Bloomin’ Brands in 2009, Ms. Smith’s leadership has been instrumental in the revitalization of the company’s core brands, both domestically and internationally.

Ms. Smith has almost 30 years’ experience growing brands in consumer-facing industries. Prior to Bloomin’ Brands, she was President of Avon Products, Inc., where she successfully led the company’s global marketing, supply chain, information technology and sales business units.

Ms. Smith also worked in several roles at Kraft Foods, Inc., including Group Vice President and President of the U.S. beverages and grocery sectors, overseeing a total of $6 billion in sales.

Ms. Smith currently serves on the Board of Directors for Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc., U.S. Fund for UNICEF and H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute (Tampa, Florida).

She holds a bachelor’s degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Melissa joined WEX in 1997 and, since then has filled a variety of leadership roles, including Global President and President of the Americas. Melissa served as CFO during the company’s IPO in 2005 and has continually driven WEX’s dramatic growth, both organically and through acquisitions. She’s been CEO since 2014 and chair since 2019.

After she took the helm, revenue more than doubled, reaching $1.7 billion in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Melissa brought WEX to expected revenue of more than $1.8 billion for 2021. She also substantially diversified the company, moving from a primarily U.S.-based, fleet-centric business to a global enterprise with offices in 14 countries and more than 5,500 employees worldwide.

The leadership and cultural values that inform Melissa’s professional life were forged from growing up on a farm in the rural town of Winn, Maine. She was also named PYMNTS.com’s Most Innovative Women in Payments in 2014 and one of PaymentsSource’s Most Influential Women in Payments in 2014, 2019, and 2021.

Melissa is an active participant in her community and with non-profit work and currently sits on the board of Maine Health. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for Equifax. Melissa earned a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Maine in 1991 and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters in 2021.

Mark Tercek is president and CEO of The Nature Conservancy (TNC), the global conservation organization known for its intense focus on collaboration and getting things done for the benefit of people and nature. He is the author of the Washington Post and Publisher’s Weekly bestselling book Nature’s Fortune: How Business and Society Thrive by Investing in Nature.

Growing up as a city kid in Cleveland, Mark was a late-bloomer to conservation. It was becoming a parent that sparked his passion for nature. “I want to be able to look my kids in the eye,” he says, “and tell them I did all I could to leave the world a better place.”

A former managing director and Partner for Goldman Sachs, where he spent 24 years, Mark brings deep business experience to his role leading The Nature Conservancy. He is a champion of the idea of natural capital — valuing nature for its own sake as well as for the services it provides for people, such as clean air and water, productive soils and a stable climate.

Mark’s leadership of TNC has been profiled in The New Yorker, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, the Wall Street Journal and The Atlantic.

During his time at Goldman Sachs, Mark managed several of the firm’s key units, including Corporate Finance, Equity Capital Markets and Pine Street, the firm’s leadership development program. In 2005, after two decades as an investment banker, Mark was tapped to develop the firm’s environmental strategy and to lead its Environmental Markets Group.

Inspired by the opportunity to help businesses, governments and environmental organizations work together in new, innovative ways, Mark left Goldman Sachs in 2008 to head up The Nature Conservancy.

In 2012, Mark was appointed by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to serve on the New York State 2100 Commission, which was created in the wake of Superstorm Sandy to advise the governor and the state on how to make the state’s infrastructure more resilient to future storms. In 2016, Mark was appointed by President Barack Obama to the president’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations.
